- Where is the most romantic place you and your spouse have ever been?
That would have to be Gatlinburg Tenn. We were there for our honeymoon when the leaves were changing. Beautiful. We were all alone in the mountains in a cabin.
- Do you and your spouse have a favorite song?
We sure do. Our song is I do by Mark Wills
- What simple gesture does your spouse do that melts you every time?
That every morning he kisses me goodbye and says he loves me before leaving for work. Sometimes it wakes me up. * Sighs * He’s always done that as he’s usually worked very early mornings.
- How soon after meeting your spouse did you know he was the one?
It was a few months. I had a feeling and yet told no one, not even him. I kept it to myself. We actually ended up telling each other at the same time.
- Who said, “I love you” first, you or your spouse?
He did.
Hero and heroine interview:
- What simple gesture does your hero do that melts your heroine every time?
The way he looks at her like she’s the only woman for him ever. He has this look that always melts Shelby’s heart.
- Who is most romantic, your hero or your heroine?
I would say my hero is.
- How soon after meeting the heroine did the hero know she was the one?
He’s known since they were teens. It was more like one day he didn’t see her as the little sister of his best friend anymore.
- Who said, “I love you” first, your hero or your heroine?
My hero did. It happened during a dangerous scene.
- What simple gesture does your heroine do that melts your hero every time?
That would be the way she treats people. She has a kind heart and it always gets him.
About Allyson: Allyson writes Edgy Christian romance and suspense novels. In her books, readers will find emotionally stirring story lines, as well a compelling mixture of suspense and faith. She resides in Missouri with her loving husband and four wonderful children, and three cats. When not spending time with her family, you can find her knitting, and watching perhaps a few way too many suspense and reality television shows.
About the book – Hearts Undone: After a bitter divorce, Shelby Johnson is looking to rebuild a life for herself and her daughter, Hannah, while avoiding the thing she mistrusts most: men. Her resolve is tested, however, when her brother’s best friend, Mark, moves in across the street and her long-buried feelings for him rise to the surface. Can she open up her heart again? When someone threatens her life, she realizes that her heart isn’t the only thing on the line. She turns to the only man she feels she can trust.
Mark Daniels returns to his hometown to solve a crime committed in the military. When he gets caught up in Shelby’s troubles, he knows she needs someone to protect her, but can he be that man? Being around her again is forcing him to face the way he feels—something he’d rather not do. When his past comes to haunt him, he vows to protect Shelby and her daughter until his last breath.
Through God’s love, Shelby and Hannah find their way into Mark’s heart. Will there be room for God too?

Question for readers: Where is your favorite place to sight see when the leaves change?
Come back Aug 26th for Allyson’s excerpt!
I’m with Allyson on this one! Has to be Gatlinburg,TN. it is pretty in all seasons
but especially spring & fall
Anywhere in Michigan
If you hadn’t already noticed, the about me part of Alysson’s book is about her and her home life, not about the book.
As for my favorite place good ole Wyoming.
Fall is my favorite time of the year and one of the biggest reasons is the changing leaves. Colonial Williamsburg,Virginia is a great place to visit as the colors pop out at you.
Thanks for catching that, Lilscorpiosweetie. I fixed it. Needless to say, I set the post up in a hurry before I left for a writing conference 🙂
Thank you for having me on your blog.
