- How soon after meeting you did your spouse know you were the one?
We met when I was getting ready to start college and Eric was ready for his second year at Purdue. Since we got together about once a year and got to know each other via phone calls and mail, it took Eric a bit longer to decide I was the one. Once we graduated, though, things moved quickly in his mind. And once we formally began courting, it only took four months before we were engaged.
2. Who said, “I love you” first, you or your spouse?
I waited until he said it first. I’d read somewhere that the girl should never say it first, so I waited.
3. Where did you and your spouse go for your honeymoon?
We went to Estes Park, Colorado. We married at the end of January and had the resort town to ourselves. It was wonderful and very relaxing. A cabin, snow, deer, and a quaint town. Perfect!
