Shannon here: Contemporary Romance author, Kimberly Rose Johnson shares insight into her characters’ romance from her latest release, A Romance Rekindled. Comment on this post to enter the drawing for a copy, U.S. only. Deadline: June 14th, 11:59 pm central time. Here’s Kimberly:
1. What’s the most romantic thing your hero ever did for your heroine?
He begged my best friend to help him win my heart again. I was a little angry at first, but then I was glad she went along with his scheme.
2. What’s the most romantic thing your heroine ever did for your hero?
Blake is going through a klutzy time in his life. Seriously the man keeps injuring himself. I realized no matter our past he needed someone to help him out, so I took him home from the hospital—more than once and made sure he was fed.
3. Where is the most romantic place your hero and heroine have ever been?
We loved hiking together before he broke off our engagement and left town. Now that he’s back, I haven’t exactly been willing to go anywhere with him.
4. What’s the most romantic present your hero ever bought your heroine?
LOL. Blake can be clueless when it comes to that kind of stuff, but being a writer he did what he does best and wrote me a story which included candid photos. It was truly touching.
5. What’s the most romantic present your heroine ever bought your hero?
Oh boy, please don’t judge me, but I’m not a romantic. I gave up on romance the day Blake walked out of my life, at least in regards to my life. Now that he’s back, I find myself rusty in the romance department. Let me think. Hmm, this isn’t exactly romantic, but I helped him pick out paint for a room in his house. I saw him at the hardware store and felt so sorry for him, I had to step in.

About the book – A Romance Rekindled:
SUSAN HILL ISN’T READY TO FORGIVE
The small-town CPA can’t forget how Blake Mitchell jilted her and left their hometown without an explanation. But when her first love returns to Leavenworth, the ruggedly handsome writer evokes conflicting emotions, especially when Susan meets the child she assumes is his daughter.
Since his parents’ deaths six years ago, Blake’s been raising his little sister on his own. But he’s never forgotten the woman he left behind. Now, he can’t undo the past, but maybe he can change the future…if he can convince Susan to give him one more chance.

This was a cute character interview and the book sounds so good! I love these situations where they were in love before and something happened, then the romance must begin again and past mistakes must be forgiven.
