Shannon here: Contemporary romance author, Kimberly Rose Johnson shares how she met her husband and how her hero and heroine meet in her debut novel, The Christmas Promise. Comment on any post dated Nov 18 – 22 to enter the drawing to win a copy. Deadline: Nov 30th, 11:59 pm central time. Here’s Kimberly:
I met my husband while attending college. We were both in the same orientation group. There is a funny story attached to that. I am horrible with names and for whatever reason I thought Robert’s name was Roger. I kept calling him that until sometime during the second week of school my roommate asked who Roger was? I told her and she said “his name is Robert.” I was so embarrassed—he never said a word!
Keira and Pete the heroine and hero in The Christmas Promise meet in her candy shop. They have a fun little story that goes with their introduction to one another too, but I won’t spoil it for you.
About Kimberly: Kimberly married her college sweetheart and is a graduate of Northwest University. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, two teenage sons and their yellow lab. Kimberly is an avid reader and loves romance, suspense and romantic suspense. She enjoys playing the piano, hiking and coffee with friends. She loves hearing from her fans. You can connect with her on her website or follow her on Twitter. http://www.kimberlyrosejohnson.com/ or https://twitter.com/kimberlyrosejoh
About the book – The Christmas Promise:
DR. PETE HARDING DOESN’T DATE SINGLE MOMS
No matter how lovely Keira Noble’s smile, or how adorable her four-year-old son. He’s been down that road before and knows it can lead to a broken heart. But that doesn’t mean he can’t help the pretty widow find a puppy to put under the Christmas tree for her son….
Pete claims he only wants to help her find the perfect gift for Cody. Yet Keira can’t deny the tender feelings in his eyes whenever he looks at her. Could this handsome Scrooge have a change of heart, and create a new family for Christmas?
Come back Nov 20th for Kimberly’s romantic destination!

Hi Kim, Happy birthday!
This sounds like a good book. I love Christmas stories.
I would love to win…what a birthday present:} I always like to meet new authors and then be able to share them with friends.
What a funny story- thinking Robert’s name was Roger! 🙂 I look forward to reading about Keira and Pete in THE CHRISTMAS PROMISE!!
I love that you called Robert by the wrong name for a couple of weeks. That sounds just like something I would do. It is a great tale! I would love to learn more about Keira and Pete.
Hi Shannon. Thanks for hosting Kimberly. Enjoyed. Been trying to win this book. So, will try again. Maybe I will get lucky this time. Thanks! Maxie mac262(at)me(dot)com
I love a good seasonal romance. The best thing though, really learning about an author’s life. How sweet to have met her husband as freshmen, AND to mess up his name for two weeks, but in the long run, Roger and Robert aren’t too bad. Sounds like Kimberly might have had his heart early on. 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
I look forward to Christmas stories during this time of year especially and ALWAYS look forward to reading books written by authors I haven’t met or heard of yet. I’m looking forward to getting to know more about Kimberly and reading her books. What FUN to learn about the meeting of Kimberly and Robert. Thanks for entering me in your drawing.
Hi, Kelly and Pat. I’m glad you enjoyed reading about how I met my husband and my name flub.:) Christmas stories are my favorite. I have several loaded onto my kindle waiting for me and a couple in print as well. I’ll need to read like a speed reader to finish them all by Christmas, but I couldn’t resist buying them. LOL
Ah, Melanie, a fellow name challenged person. 🙂 I’m glad I’m not the only one with this problem. You can read the first few pages of The Christmas Promise on Amazon.
Brittney, it’s funny now, but at the time I was so embarrassed.:D
I love Christmas stories…and would love to review this on my blog. Thanks for the chance to win, Shannon!
I just received your welcome email to your site and you are at a book signing. What a beautiful face!
Hi, Justina thanks for the compliment! Yes, I traveled to Leavenworth a couple of weekends ago. It was such fun to be back there again and see landmarks I included in The Christmas Promise. I sat in Starbucks with my husband and said to him “This is where Keira and Pete first had coffee.” LOL I think he thought I was a little nuts. 🙂
This book sounds great. Looking forward to reading it. Thank you for the chance to win this giveaway and please enter my name.
