Hi guys, Lisa here! I’m excited to be on the blog today!
My book, First Wave, is free right now on Kindle. I’ll include a link at the end. It’s book 1 in a series I wrote last year, and a story of strangers who grow to trust, and then love, each other.
I’ve written a lot of love stories over the past few years being an author, though for the most part they are suspense novels.
Enemies to friends.
Broken relationships mended better than new.
There are so many different kinds of situations where God chooses to put love in a couple’s hearts for one another.
But my favorite?
Has to be “friends to lovers” as that is how my own story was told. Strangers become friends, and then friendship later develops to more. I feel like these can be the strongest of relationships. Affection and romantic love can both roll in and out like tides. We can trust too much in our feelings. But friendship can withstand so much. Our friends are the ones we can vent to, and trust to be there when we need them. Friends will go into battle and fight for us. Friends are the ones who stay true through everything else.
And when your best friend is also your spouse?
That’s a wonderfully secure place to be.
About Lisa: A British ex-pat who grew up an hour outside of London, Lisa attended Calvary Chapel Bible College where she met her husband. He’s from California, but nobody’s perfect. It wasn’t until her Bible College graduation that she figured out she was a writer (someone told her). Since then she’s discovered a penchant for high-stakes stories of mayhem and disaster where you can find made-for-each-other love that always ends in happily ever after.
Lisa can be found in Idaho wearing either flip-flops or cowgirl boots, depending on the season. She leads worship with her husband at their local church. Together they have two kids and an all-black Airedale known as The Dark Lord Elevator.
