Question for Readers: Cara and Sully are a Later-in-Life couple. I really enjoyed writing characters who find true love in their 50s–being 50 myself. Why does a romance with older characters resonate with readers of all ages?

Because you don’t always get married at 18-25. Most books try to portray everyone getting married young. You don’t. I’ve not been married and I’m 38. I am dating someone, but we’re not even to engaged yet. It reminds you love can happen at any age. Don’t give up.
Exactly! Thank you for sharing your personal experience!
I think that it means that there is a possibility for a second chance.
Always!
Romance does not end because a person is older, and even more so, LOVE does not end. A romance with older characters reminds us that love happens at all ages.
Amen to that!
I am in my 50’s too so I also can relate. Love can happen during the different seasons in one’s life.
I would say because ar least at the store I work at the readers are older. We can relate better to a character in their 40’s or older.
I have a winner! MaryAnn Frerichs won the drawing. I appreciate Katy for being my guest and everyone else for stopping by.
