Shannon here: It’s been a long dry spell with no new titles for me. Last year, I wrote two books and one of my Love Inspired titles was re-released in a two in one package with another author, but no new books. This year will be different. With two new books from a new series, plus another re-release two in one. I’m excited! I’m giving away a copy of Hill Country Redemption to celebrate. Comment or answer the question in this post to enter. Deadline: Feb 8th, 11:59 pm central time.
In stores mid March, Amazon April 1st: Hill Country Redemption (Book 1 Hill Country Cowboys)
I’m excited about this new series. For thirty-five years, I’ve traveled to Texas Hill Country to visit my husband’s dad, stepmom, and half brothers in Medina. We lost his dad in 2008, but we still make the trip. Each ranch in this series is based on theirs, with the Medina River running across the back of the property. My last series was set in nearby Bandera. It’s so fun to put places I know well in my books.
This cowboy has one more chance to make it right…
He already lost her once…
Now he’s fighting for her—and their daughter.
When Rance Shepherd takes a job stocking cattle for a local rodeo, he’s shocked that his new client is his ex-sweetheart, Larae Collins. Now he’s determined to prove to the single mother that he isn’t the restless cowboy she remembers. But when he discovers her little girl is his, they both must forgive past mistakes for a second shot at a future together.
No cover yet, but in stores mid June and July 1st on Amazon: The Cowboy’s Missing Memory (Book 2 Hill Country Cowboys)
Can he reclaim his past…and build a future?
He needs to remember. She’s his best hope…
But can they stay strictly professional?
After a rodeo accident took away Clint Rawlins’s mobility and two years’ worth of memories, occupational therapist Lexie Parker is his only shot at regaining independence. Lexie is drawn to Clint…but she’s wary of the amnesiac’s all-too-vulnerable feelings. And with his dangerous job as a bull rider, she refuses to risk her heart. But resisting her charming patient may be harder than she expected…
May 1st, on Amazon and I’m not sure about stores: Counting on the Cowboy and Her Texas Cowboy
This is a re-release of my title with Jill Lynn’s in one volume. This is a great way to try new authors since you get two books for one. No cover for this one yet either, but here’s the original covers and blurbs for each title:
Counting on the Cowboy (Book 4 Texas Cowboys):
Ranching is his whole life…until he meets one special city girl
Texas Cowboy Brock McBride knows better than to fall for a city girl. She’ll leave and break his heart—just like his ex-fiancée did. But his job at Chasing Eden Dude Ranch requires working alongside Dallas wedding planner Devree Malone. And despite fierce resistance, he’s falling hard. Yet with Devree’s business back in the city, can he convince her she’s found her home…with him?
Her Texas Cowboy by Jill Lynn
The sweetest reunion in Texas…
When Rachel Maddox returns to her hometown of Fredericksburg, Texas, avoiding her ex is much easier said than done. Still nursing the broken heart Rachel caused years earlier, rancher Hunter McDermott figures he can be cordial for the brief time she’s in town—maybe they can even be friends. But how do you forge just a friendship with someone you’ve always pictured as your bride?
Did you know you can follow your favorite authors on Amazon? That way, when they have a new release, you know it, even if you don’t buy it online. This has changed my life. No more checking every few months looking for new releases from my favorites.
Can’t wait for the drawing, worried you won’t win, or interested in one of the other titles?

Question for Readers: What’s your favorite setting for a Christian Romance?
Jill Phillips was supposed to be my guest today, but things didn’t work out. But don’t worry, she’ll be here February 28th. In the meantime, come back January 31st for Mary Ellis!
Candace West Posey says
I love settings in the mountains, the American West, and in the UK. I can’t wait to read your new books! The cover looks amazing!
Shannon Vannatter says
I’m with you on the mountains and the west, Candace. I’m more about the U.S. than foreign settings though. Thanks, I’m really pleased with the cover.
Shelia Hall says
love the mountains and Texas!
Shannon Vannatter says
Me too, Shelia.
bn100 says
any setting
Connie Saunders says
I prefer rural settings and the mountains are a special love! Thanks for sharing about your new book!
Shannon Taylor Vannatter says
Both excellent places for a romance, Connie.
Shannon Taylor Vannatter says
I get that, bn100. If it’s a good book, the setting doesn’t matter.
Linda R Orr says
You have it – a Texas horse ranch!
Shannon Taylor Vannatter says
There’s just something about Texas, horses, ranches, and of course cowboys.
Joan Arning says
Mountains, park or farm/ranch.
Shannon Taylor Vannatter says
Hey Joan, I love the mountains too. So easy to snow people in up there.
kim says
Farm/Ranch
Shannon Taylor Vannatter says
I’m seeing a trend here. There’s so much fun to be had with farm animals in books.
Sylvia M. says
Probably the suburbs. A nice small to medium size town that’s pretty close, but the characters live in a more rural setting.
Shannon Taylor Vannatter says
I love rural, Sylvia. I’ve done the burbs too. Pretty easy for me since I’ve lived in both.
Shannon Vannatter says
I have a winner! Sylvia M. won this drawing. I appreciate everyone for stopping by.
