How I Met My Husband
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, I met Frank at a Christian summer camp. No, we weren’t campers.
As a cabin counsellor at Camp Joy in Carmel, NY, I had responsibility for ten girls from inner city New York. For this college student and country girl, it was a new and challenging experience.
Frank had spent two summers as a counsellor and now worked in a children’s home not far from Camp Joy. He returned to visit friends who were working at camp. Our mutual friend Cheri introduced us. The church I attended while in college was his home church, but we’d never met.
Six weeks, a few dates, and weekly letters later, he proposed. We’ve been married for over 50 years.
How Brianna and Cooper Meet in Snowflakes and Puppy Love
Store clerk Brianna Kinney is replenishing the supply of bookmarks on the front counter display when a blond, blue-eyed man enters the bookstore. His gaze stirs her heart in a way she hasn’t experienced since she became a widow.
Robin Archer, the owner of Archer Books, calls the man Cooper. Brianna is interested, but when the man buys books for two children and mentions someone named Tessa, Brianna decides he’s married and unavailable.
When bachelor Cooper Stiles sees Brianna, he almost forgets he’s there to buy books. They speak briefly when he purchases the books. However, he leaves the store without learning her name.
Question for Readers: Do you consider Valentine’s Day a day for romance or a fun day for kids, parties, and an excuse for eating chocolate?

About the novella – Snowflakes and Puppy Love
The day Cooper Stiles walks in the door of Archer Books, his stunning blue eyes and friendly smile pull at Brianna Kinney’s heart. He’s the first man she’s attracted to since becoming a widow. The new clerk in Robin Archer’s bookstore catches Cooper’s eye. Brianna’s love for children and her cute puppy are captivating, but he doesn’t have time for dating. His priority right now is caring for his nephew and niece while his sister-in-law, his deceased brother’s wife, fulfills a work commitment overseas. And he’s not going to get caught up in any more match-making plots.
