Shannon here: Two authors and two giveaways this week. Inspirational author Cara Putman shares a glimpse of her real life romance today and Friday. She’s giving away a copy of her book: Stars In the Night. Leave a comment by July 16th, 8:00 PM Central for a chance to win. Here’s Cara:
- What’s the most romantic thing your spouse has ever done for you?
He’s supported my dreams, even when they didn’t fit what he’d envisioned for a spouse. His mom is a wonderful woman and a Betty Crocker. The woman has a masters in home economics from an Ivy League school. I don’t and never want to. And fortunately, my husband has supported me through some choices and dreams that went far beyond what he would have preferred. For that I’ll always love him.
2. Where is the most romantic place you and your spouse have ever been?
Probably Banff, Canada when I was five months pregnant with our first child. It was late May and we had a wonderful time exploring this tourist resort town set in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. We took the train from Kamloops into Banff – some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. And we enjoyed the beauty of God’s awesome creation for a couple days. It was wonderful!
3. How soon after meeting your spouse did you know he/she was the one?
I knew very quickly that I was very interested in Eric. Because ours was a long distance friendship that grew into a relationship, the clue became when I compared every other guy I knew to Eric. And they all came up lacking. At that point I knew that if Eric ever asked me to marry him, I would.

I am always anxious to read a new author. I guess my first encounter with my husband was when we were just 2 & four years old. I have a picture of me in his baby carriage and him standing beside it.

I’m enjoying all these real life romances. I’m getting ideas for some fictional romances.
