Shannon here: Comment or Answer the question in any post dated Aug 4 – 23 to enter the drawing for Book Bundle 1, details below. Deadline: Aug 23rd, 11:59 pm central time.
Hey y’all. I’ve got exciting news about some big changes around here. I’ll continue to host guest authors on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The changes will be with the giveaways. I’m always behind on giveaways. Authors e-mail about when I’m picking a winner for their book. Readers have even e-mailed asking if I’ve picked a winner yet for a certain book. And most of the time, I haven’t. It amazes me how fast I can get a month behind on picking book winners. So I came up with a solution.
Beginning this month, I’m doing my giveaways in bundles. Book giveaways for the first half of the month will go into Bundle 1 and 1 winner will win all titles. Book giveaways for the second half of the month will go into Bundle 2 and 1 winner will win all titles. This way, I pick 2 winners each month, instead of 8 or more.
A win for me. It’ll take less time to pick winners and hopefully I can stay on top of it. A win for readers, who will win 4 books or more instead of 1. And if you get books in genres you don’t usually read, you can try something new, give the book to a friend, or your church library. If you win e-books and you’re a print only, I’m sure the author will gift your e-book to your friend or family member for you.
I’m hoping book bundles will encourage more comments as well. I hate telling authors they don’t have to worry about mailing a book because they didn’t get any comments. Feel free to comment on every post to get your name in the drawing multiple times so you’ll have more chance of winning.
I’ll also continue my weekly Book Bargain Roundup every Saturday. You can even comment there to get your name in the bundle drawing an extra time. So without further ado:

Question for Readers: Do you like my book bundle giveaway idea? Why or why not?
About Me: Award winning author, Shannon Taylor Vannatter writes contemporary Christian cowboy romance and has over a dozen published titles. A romance reader since her teens, she hopes to entertain Christian women and plant seeds in the non-believer’s heart as she demonstrates that love doesn’t conquer all—Jesus does.
She gleans fodder for her fiction in rural Arkansas where she spent her teenage summers working the concession stand with her rodeo announcing dad and married a Texan who morphed into a pastor. Shannon is Scrivenings Press Acquisitions/Content Editor for Contemporary titles. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her husband and adult son, flea marketing, and doing craft projects.

I do like the book bundle. It gives a variety of authors to try
Awesome, Carol. Thanks for the feedback. I try to keep my readers happy, engaged, and help them find new to them authors.
I love them because you get to try new authors as well as some you know and love.
Awesome, Shelia. I was kind of worried my readers might not like the change because this way you can’t only enter for the books you’re interested in. But to me, more books is always a good thing. So far,so good on positive feedback.
I love book bundles for the authors I already love and for the ones I come to love from those bundles!
Oh good, Kimberly. I’m glad so far everyone’s liking this plan. It will be so much easier for me. And my mantra, the more books, the merrier life will be. Thanks for chiming in.
Yes! I don’t always try NTM authors.
Oh good, Sherall. This way, you win a book. It’s actually in your house. For free. So you’re obligated to read it, or at least that’s how I feel. And maybe you’ll find a new author you love. It’s so much easier for me to try a new author without putting out my hard earned bucks.
Oh! This is exciting 🙂
I think so too, Natalya. Glad you agree.
Thanks for the giveaway. All the books sound very interesting.
Thanks for your support, Diana. Glad you’re on board.
I think the book bundle is a great idea because it provides a good variety of books and introduces you to different authors and genres.
I’m glad you’re on board with me, Cherie. Thanks for the feedback.
Nice variety of books! And I love reading new authors!
Me too, Joan. When I discover a new author I like, I buy their backlist, and binge read it, then watch for new releases.
I love the idea. As a blogger, honestly I have some second-hand stress for you, trying to keep up with that many winners/notifications/etc. This simplifies everything! Thank you for doing this!
Thanks Susan. Yes!!! I’m tired of being behind and I’m glad everyone seems to be for it.
I do like this idea. I love learning about new authors and appreciate the chance to try some I’ve heard of but haven’t gotten to read yet.
Thanks for the input, Kelly. So far, I’ve gotten great results and some new blog readers. Yay!!!!
I have a winner! Blossom Eniola Dopamu won the drawing for my August Book Bundle #1. I appreciate everyone who stopped by.
Since Blossom is international, I’m sending her my books. For the rest of the giveaway, Sherall Cornwell is the winner.
