God, Inspirational Books, and Romance by Vannetta Chapman:
God is an important part of the romance in Murder Simply Brewed.
Amber Wright is 45 years old. She has accepted that she missed something many people treasure—like having her own family. She’s not entirely sure that she won’t meet someone, but it seems like a farfetched idea. Working in a small town, she doesn’t meet a lot of men. In Middlebury, IN, quite a few of those men are Amish. She does not see romance in her future.
But God has a different plan for Amber.
Tate Bowman is a widow. His wife died several years before the story begins. Although he’s sometimes lonely, he’s satisfied with his life—or so he would tell anyone who asks. However, his two sons are grown and come to visit only occasionally. He attends a local church, but less often than he should. In truth, his world has become small and he’s comfortable with that.
But God has a different plan for Tate.
Then tragedy strikes the AmishVillage. As the manager, Amber is thrown into a situation she could not have imagined. As her next door neighbor, Tate only wonders why life has to include such trials. He does not want to become involved, and Amber doesn’t think she wants or needs his help.
The romance which blooms between Amber and Tate is something that neither expect. What begins as friendship quickly becomes more. Why is that? Perhaps because in the midst of tragedy and trial and hardship, they allow their self to need someone else. They open their hearts in a way they wouldn’t have in ordinary circumstances. In the process, they discover blessings that they couldn’t have imagined and a future that is far different than what they had envisioned.
About Vannetta: Vannetta Chapman writes inspirational fiction full of grace. Her novel, Falling to Pieces, was a 2012 ACFW Carol Award winner for best mystery. She writes Amish mysteries for Zondervan, Amish romances for Harvest House and Amish novellas for Abingdon and Zondervan. All of her books have been Christian Book Distributor bestsellers. Chapman lives in the Texashill country with her husband.
About the book – Where Healing Blooms (in An Amish Garden collection): Emma discovers a run-away teen in her barn, and the bishop asks her to provide a haven for a woman and her two children. Then her mother-in-law reveals a secret about her garden. Will Emma choose loneliness or learn to accept God’s gifts?
About the book – Murder Simply Brewed (Amish Romantic Mystery):When the coffee shop manager is murdered in Middlebury’s Amish Artisan Village, two women from different walks of life must join together to solve the mystery.
Spring has arrived in Middlebury, Indiana, and Amber Wright is optimistic about the growing profit from her collection of Amish shops—until she receives a call that Ethan Gray is dead. Hurrying over to A Simple Blend, she finds a solitary hole in the front window and the store manager lying next to the espresso machine, dead from an apparent heart attack. All the money is still in his register.
When Amber hires a young Amish woman, Hannah Troyer, to take over the shop’s duties, the two women become fast friends—as well as amateur sleuths. The police believe Gray’s death is a by-product of vandalism, but Amber and Hannah aren’t convinced.
Clues that don’t add up, a neighbor who is pulled into the midst of the investigation, a town with secrets to hide, and a blossoming romance—all will combine to push Amber and Hannah into unfamiliar roles in order to solve a mystery that will once again reveal the depth of God’s grace.

Thanks for the giveaway! This is a new author to me, and I’d love to check it out! 🙂
