The Story Behind the Book:
All I can say is that in my story I wanted ‘love’ to shine through. I wanted the love between man and woman to be a special thing, because I don’t believe God has given man any more special gift. Other than that, I lived through the Vietnam era and had friends whose brothers didn’t return. I heard the news every night. Kate’s husband returned, but never got over the war.
Recipe for Romance:
In Joy Restored Seth and the kids prepared a special surprise birthday dinner for Kate, but Chicken Soup is the specialty of my husband and one I dearly like. The thing is the served soup has no chicken, even though three chickens are used in the preparation. He uses only the broth of the chickens. He learned this recipe from his Polish grandmother-‘Busia’- and it has been passed on. Besides three chickens, the soup includes 2 lbs. of parsnips, 2 lbs. of carrots, and a large bunch of parsley. This is served over noodles. Of course, we eat Chicken Soup for a while!

After sensing their wide spiritual gulf, Seth is conflicted by his growing love for Kate. he longs for her parched faith to heal, but she’s convinced he’s deluded himself with ideas of peace. Besides, Seth’s longtime girlfriend won’t exit the love triangle gracefully.
Will Kate refuse God’s healing and Seth’s love? Or will death steal Seth from her as well?
